Could we park with the group even if we don't pay for option 1/2?. Money is tight and honestly I'm not really interested in a Drag racing museum..
Would shirts be sold separate?

Also, Is there a group drive being planned this year? That was my favorite part of last years super-meet!

Here's another option for those who may stick around on Sunday looking for something really fun to do (and to make an autocross look like a slug race) you can try the karts!
http://ocalagranprix.com/

I haven't done them in a few years ... but, I know I've never been in ANYTHING that turns faster/harder I'm sure we could get a decent group rate too

I did this up in Dayton OH, those little f'rs are FAST and AGILE! It would be cool to have a group do a mini grand prix like we do for HSPGP while we are up there!

The official stance on "just showing up" is that we have no stance.

You can show up and be parked just like everyone else...we have no way of knowing if you have paid or not when you park.

You can exit your vehicle and walk around and nothing will happen.

A very small number of extra shirts will on sale at 15.00 each (while supplies last).

Just so I am straight on your request:

You DO want a shirt
You DONT want any food
You DONT want to do the museum
You DO want to take advantage of any group activity we planned
You DO want to hang out and be a part of everything and have fun with everyone

But, you DONT want to pay?

That’s fine, but I have a more economical idea

Why don’t you just buy a shirt? Save gas from Orlando or Miami (I am not sure which area you are coming from). I mean.... if you are going to drive the distance, do a group drive, stay the whole day, buy a shirt, eat someplace else, etc. You will have dusted 40.00 before you even get to the event. If you are concerned about the money issue, just buying a shirt seems to offer the most benefit with the least cost.

I am with you on the money situation. We had a hard time getting this together and pulling it off. It’s tough out there right now. I am not trying to give you or anybody else a hard time. I am not trying to be high and mighty, I am simply stating our side of the story.

The money we charge goes directly to funding the actual meet. A percentage of the cost we charge goes to (venue, insurance, food, shirt, magnets, supplies etc) any money left over goes directly back into funding the next event...Not to the Grand Prix event or any other function....it goes right back into the Supermeet fund.

We feel we are providing a service and at a great value. There are fees and people’s time and effort associated with that service. We are not charging for people’s time and effort. All human involvement is strictly voluntary…no one is making a single penny off this event.

You are welcome to do what you like. We have no policy on the issue and we will not prevent you from doing what you want. You cannot eat without an armband and you will not be able to do the museums without a ticket and/or arm band. The rest of the day is at your discretion.

I'm so down for those karts. I've always wanted to go to that track, but my friends are lame.

I was a little disappointed ever since the Tampa Bay GP electric karts moved to that indoor location. I like the fact that it's indoors but the track is too small now.

my post about registering or not registering is not meant to be condescending or mean in any way. I apologize if it comes across that way but the meaning behind it is clear: we want you to come and enjoy yourselves.....period.

We cant force you to register...look at what Airgate has to go through each year at the dragon..... Like him, we cannot force you to do anything but, at the same time, we cannot be overly concerned with your choice to not register either.

If you want to enjoy the day as it was meant to be enjoyed, then you should register. If you dont, we cant hold anything against you...and wont, I promise.

I'm definitely down for the meet - I like the idea of adding other events like the go karting, etc. for those of us wanting to spice it up a bit.

Location should be good for people coming from Orlando & the big bend cities, too.

All times are GMT -8. The time now is 05:10 PM.
