Default Battery Replacement

Hey guys, My battery got a horrible rating at my last oil change at honda, so I'm gonna replace it soon. I'd usually just go through sears, wal-mart or wherever, but want to hear what other floridians are using in the sun-soaked state. Not terribly concerned about weight savings...just want a good battery for the DD and figured it would be good to start a discussion here in FL.

So, go with my usual? Better recommendations?

Duralast. No point overpaying for a battery.

I ran the Sears battery in my element (die hard gold) and the Duralast in my Civic w/ the system. Both performed well....don't recall the price. If nobody gives a better option, I'll go with the Duralast again I think.

(just saw a commercial for it as I was typing this)

Doesn't matter what brand you can expect 24 to 30 months max on a battery in FL (at least that has been my experience)

Barry - I seem to get about 2-3 years on a non-garaged car, 3-4 on a garaged (work and home) car.

This why i went with an Oddysey. Its half the weight and its is expensive but it has a 10 year warrenty. I got sick of buying new batteries every 2 years and figured i should by something good and save weight
