Brake Problem?
JC, I merely suggested trying the hard breaking first to try and pop it loose, then if it was still binding investigate further. The stock S2000 brake pads are semi-metalic in composition and it is normal for them to rust and stick to the rotor if they are wetted and then kept stationary for extended periods. Neither of us are ASE certified master mechanics or brake specialists. Who knows exactly what's going on without the car in front of us. He may need to take the wheel off and he may need a new caliper , cable or brake line or whatever, I don't know. Why not try the easiest check first and go from there, that's all I was trying to say.
Problem solved. Actually it fixed itself. Got in the car this Pm. Started up., released e brake. put in reverse. moved smothly, no drag. drove to small incline. stopped. put in neutral. car rolld back freely. would not do this on Wednesday. Drove about 10 miles, checked heat and smell from wheel. no smell no heat. car responded very well. not sluggish at all. Hope it stays this way. Thinking about not using e brake when parking. Don't want this to happen again.
Thanks for all the input.
