Default Brighthouse and Phone Line

So I want to start going to the thursday meets again, since work is slowing down a bit.. and I have free time now..

BUT I LOVE SMALLVILLE!!! and the season just started again..

so to try and keep myself from becoming a prisoner to the TV, I picked up a TiVo. I got it from a friend and it is one of the older models.. So for me to be able to hook it up it says that I need a phone line (which i do not have) ...

SOOOOOO.. if any one on here would be kind enough to plug it into their home phone line and Cable line for about an hour.. it would be MUCH appreciated!!!

You have to have Brighthouse for it to upload the correct data for the season.

I know someone on this forum will come through cuz everyone on here is soo awesome

THANKS!
RJ

btw.. if u like smallville.. watch Heroes! that show is becoming my new favorite!

RJ, Tivo only down loads two weeks at a time. Every couple days Tivo calls out and downloads the info. That hour might help you now but you would have to keep downloading every couple days for the whole season.

oh... well that sucks.. lol

actually i just wanted to get past the initial log on screen which asks u to connect to phone line(it doesnt let me do anything without connecting to a phone line).. I know new tivos dont ask to do this.. I really dont need for it to know when programming is.. i thought that i could just program what time it was to record? am i wrong about that?

is there any other way around this then?

thanks!
RJ

Brighthouse has their own TIVO equivalent. Why not go with that if you already get brighthouse cable? Plus you can get the HDTV version too.

You might be better of going through your cable company like captainbk said.

Yep, just get the DVR box... It's less than 10 bucks a month, and only 5 more dollars than a regular box if you have one of those...
