So far so good, It rained most of the day yesterday so water does not affect it. I am hopping for sun today so it can really bake on. I will keeps you guys updated. One thing the can does say not recommended for more than three days.

I have been letting this stuff bake in the sun for two days.... It dries kinda like a gel. It seems to come off very easy, I rubbed my finger in it and it rubs right off the paint. I am going to wash it off tommorow. Keep you updated....

I wrote to DupliColor and asked if Shield could be used as a temporary base for some of their other products, give me a chance to try a few things and still be able to wash it off afterwards. Here's their reply:
The solvents in our other products will melt through the temporary coating and the paint will end up bonding to the actual finish and not the temporary finish. I would not suggest using the product in the manner that you suggest.
Bummer...
