Little help on how much and wear if i can get it replaced. Also, if i can not, how much for whole new top and install? Any help is appreciated.

 

Mine just cracked too. I have an '01. It sucks. I think I'm going to get a robbins top with the glass rear window. I hear that the install is a bitch but I'll give it a shot.

Let me know what you're gonna do.

The tops that I've seen people recommend (cabrioworld and robins) are generally 700-800 although you can buy a replacement on ebay for 400 or so. I got a quote from a local shop at 1700 for the top and installation. I decided some clear packing tape over the crack would look real nice.

 

Im using silver tape at the moment. But clear would look better.

 

I went with a robbin's top from cabrio world. The install is a 10-12 hour job, and yes, it is a pita.

They are from North florida, good folks and that tape is seriously good (i don't know if they sell as units since i meet them in a trader show), that thing is awesome, they gave me a couple of boxes on a show some months ago .... i guess it can work in your S 'till you change the whole top.
