Isn't that just from scraping wherever the clearance is not high enough?

I don't have the optional lip but the day I brought my S2000 home, I scraped the bottom of the front bumper on my driveway. There are now a few pock marks in the paint where it scraped.

The warranty will cover paint peeling, as in my case, but not paint chips due to hitting road debris and scraping. Just stay away from those big semi-trucks and watch those parking blocks. I always back mine into a space.
