Destroyed motor mounts
Nice Necropost!
After reading this I am wondering how you're liking the mounts after a year or so. Seems like a good upgrade - I take it you have to hoist the engine to do the work - surely not a full removal?

Stock FTW in my opinion. I have ran many different brand Urathane mounts and other supposedly NON-vibrating mounts on my old Protege and they all have egg shaped over time. I would say OEM all the way. They are made to last and although they may break with extreme use...well that's expected.

hey blacknot, make sure there isn't excessive heat causing the mount to get hot and soften. some of the turbo guys have melted these mounts. it's hard to see how close your header is to the mount. if needed, you could easily fab a heat shield to cover the mount.
just a heads up.
just a heads up.
