That really sucks !!! It's such a fun road.

 

I have always said that there is too much traffic on the dragon. There are MANY other great roads that don't get anywhere neart the pressure that the dragon gets. I really got tired of driving behind a string of Harley doing 15mph. Grab a NC map (the DeLorme gazeteer is best) and just look. There are many great roads up in that area. Also N Georgia the Wolfpen Gap circuit is awsome....Drive the Wolf.

there is an awsome road in north georgia i found about the same as the dragon a little wider and paving is much nicer ive got to look at the map and see where it is...

i think it was around here... 129 - 180 somethin like that...

 

Nooo looks like I'll never be able to take a run down the dragon.. but like everyone is saying there are plenty of less famous roads
..I can always go to Newburger, its 3 minutes from my house!

 

I think there *might be some other roads up there? I'm not sure...
