Default durable wax question

don't feel like starting a flame war in the wash and wax forum but i have a question.

can anyone recommend a good, durable wax for a car that stays outside 100% of the time. i don't want to wax this car more than 2 times a year. (company car, leased vehicle)

TIA

ZAINO ZAINO ZAINO ZAINO ZAINO PERIOD.

It's a synthetic vs. natural carnuba base. Go to their website, read up, post questions, use it, love it for I am "Zaino and Zip Tie Guy"!!!!

Seriously I used others that did a nice job but would only hold up to the Florida sun for a few weeks (3-4?). I then took the jump over to Zaino, clayed her, the whole 9, totally fell in love with the Black Mistress again, and only needed to put a layer of Z-5 as touch up every few months and you know how anal I am about keeping the car close to show. Do it right the first time and then some of the detail spray here and there will keep her shiny for many months until the next layer of Z, probably Z-2 for a GPW IMO.

And a good runner up would be good ole Meguiars #26. Lasts forever for a carnuba wax.

I use meguirs nxt generation tech wax. I can do the entire car in 30 minutes and it holds up well. I am also an old fan on Nu-finish angain fast and holds up well under the forida sun.

zaino is good stuff but i do not have 6 hours to wax each of the cars.

I think the GPW would be the easiest ....black must be the worst, perhaps zaino is the best for black. Get 12 car owners together and they will have 12 favorite products.

I don't think I've ever polished a white other than my RL with the Zaino. Frankly that car is lucky to go through the car wash at the Jiffy Store.

Zaino is the stuff for black and any dark car IMO. I have used it on several S's of various colors, a dark purple NSX, and a black 300 SRT-8 with amazing results and it lasts.

The "6 hour" treatment will be the 1st and probably last time you do that and it's just recommended not necessarily required. It involves stripping the old wax (wash with Dawn), claying, re-washing w/Zaino car wash, and then putting on the actual Zaino of your choice (probably Z-2). After that it is just the opposite as far as time involved and maintenance based on my experience. Had the S over 6 years and been using Zaino about 4 I'd say.

But like Captain said too - 12 owners = 12 different products.

What I love about the tech wax is the ease of use. You start at one corner of the car and completely cover the car. By the time you get back to where you started, you can start buffing. Just that simple and ultra easy to buff off.

My Z had 166K miles on it and the paint was near perfect....I used Nu-finish on it from day one, waxed it twice a year and it was hardly ever under cover except on weekends when I was home.
