If my plans hold, they'll be loading the truck on the 31st of this month, and I'll be on the road to my new residence the next day. I'm getting the Mid-A people's opinion on a place I have picked out up there... if the opinion is high, I'll take it, if not, I'll be flying out there early next week to see what else looks good.

If you ever decide to travel south to the Charlotte area, post up in the Carolinas Forum. You are almost in the neighborhood. We also have a lot of Virgina drives. You know you'll need to make some mountain/Blue Ridge trips. You are at least a little closer to some elevation changes.

The snow is going to suck though.

 

If I left the area that is exactly where I would go. You are so close to so many cities and cool places. There is a very strong S2K community. Mountains and less heat without the blizzards of NY. You will be a happy man.

it really doesn't snow that much in that area. a few storms a year. Really not bad!!
