First thought that ran through my head....
"Its not a civic"
The only way i'd say "go for it" is if it was a wrap... but rattle-canning an S2000?
sad.

I could keep going but I think the determining factor of "is this scheme going to work on my car" is a matter of flow
All ....well most of these examples show a level of continuity that IMHO is very important. ( that Lambo needs new interior and a dust job on the exterior, badly
1. they are all basically murdered out I know thats a cliche' term but it has a distinct definition
2. they are all show stopper cars to begin with and mostly very aggresive in at least style or notority.
3. if you go flat (no matter how you get there) IMHO you will have to carry the look over on to other aspects of the car:
--film the headlights
--smoke the sidemarkers
--tint all the windows including the windshield
-- flat or high gloss black wheels (polished lip at the most in this case)
for me that's the only way it would work on an S and there are a few out there that pull this off nicely
if I ever do a marketing project with S&R I want to start with a flat black base
my .02 worth
wrapping is a perfect solution as it completely covers the paint job and if removed in a year or two will not damage anything.
look at the caliber of cars people are wrapping for that exact reason
Carrera GTs
Phantoms
Maclaren SLR
430's
GTR
those are all wraps, not paint jobs
I dont think those owners would risk 60-70-90K paint jobs

i think they all look unbelievable and i will get the wheels done soon.
all windows tinted will have windshield done when replaced next month.
before i got rid of the performance stuff i had everything that i had was black. the color just looks really good. the dark bronze wheels i have now should look pretty good with the paint.
i think. very similar to the bronze ones on the hyundai just darker.

keep in mind all these car we are showing have a very high "just jizzed in my pants" factor without the flat black. We whig out because doing that to those caliber of cars is sooooo sinister yet it looks even more sinister because those cars are seriously badass to begin with.
When we see this type of stuff done to more mundane cars (like ours, not to take anthing away from our cars but lets face a little reality here) we say "its a look" and unless it is totaly done to perfection we dont give it much more thought.
When we see Rob and Big running around in a bitched out Yukon (or whatever that truck was) we go DAMMMN because he's jacked up, got ICE spilling out all over the place and the truck is tricked the hell out.
I guess what I am getting at is you would have to make the car COMPLETELY sinister for it to flow right IMHO and I just wanted to see where you were at with the level of commitment before I could give advice to go for it. Not that you need my approval. But you asked for our opinions and for you to get my vote for yes i would want you to take it all the way BABY!!!!
you get what I am saying, yes?
