Cool

have you read our recent threads????? I dont think we have a handle on much at all, at the moment

My suggestions:

NEVER at night unless you are crusing under the speed limit down the BLVD that hugs the beaches looking at the girls

Plan your course

Keep your groups small (less than 10)

Do not post your route

Do not linger at the starting spot very long

The car gap should be one car length for every 10 mph you are travelling. So 40 mph would be a min of 4 car lengths.

Thanks man, I was just making funny on his comments and the recent drama.

My advice part is kosher though, if I were planning his group drive I would consider these important

Thanks for the help primo. I have already taken down any info i posted as to when and where we will be. I just had it up at first to get peoples attention. Im going to be PM'ing everybody individualy on the site with details to somewhat "deter" any po-po confrontations. Once again, thanks!

i cant wait to tag along with the next s2000 drive.

i am not trying to be rude but i happen to be one of those people who likes s2000 meets with s2000s only.

i too do not understand why non s2000 meets organized by non s2000 drivers are being posted in this forum. the reason i belong to s2ki.com is because i want to interact with s2k drivers. when i want to interact with other drivers, i might pop into another forum like racejax, etc.

stuff like this was part of my frustration sunday on the group drive. it was an s2000/nsx meet. or i thought it was til i see a 350z in group one and to my utter disgust (not by dislike of persons specifically PLEASE NOTE) i was put into a group led by a MINI COOPER? pleas emind you, its nothing personal against the driver at all, very nice LADY from what i gathered. but COME ON. A MINI COOPER!!!??! i know i cannot have been the only person that was like: wtf. has nothing to do with driving etc because for whatever nfr was behind me, i apologize to you for my horrible driving that day, its just the concept we make ourselves out to be an exclusive group yet hardly no one stands up and is like: s2ks only...

*shrug*

summary: if you want to be a part of these forums cool, so be it whether you have an s2000 or not. if you want to plan drives/advertise/etc get a friggin s2000 or take yourself to a generic forum because this isnt a billboard/side of the bus site.

Well, unlike some others. I do understand where you are coming from. If I was to ever attend one of these, Im not the person who parks in the middle of the pack when you are trying to get a good group together. I am also not going to be in front NOR in the middle for that matter, i dont mind being in the back. There just isnt too many oppurtunities to drive like this with multiple cars..

Even in a civic, do you know how hard it is to find people that have a car that can do what I do? In the s2000, even if they arent the greatest of drivers ATLEAST they can do something.

Sorry your S2000 meet wasnt what you expected. BTW did the mini slow you down?

In regards to the random cars squeezing in the front or the front i totally agree with you. If i was there i would have been like wtf also. Its not that I think my car is better than the non-s2000 thats in the drive but its kind of a "dont mess up the rotation" type of thing.

The Mini leading the one group was an unfortunate but also unavoidable circumstance. We had to have someone with prior knowledge of the route at the lead of each group. In the future we will try our best to make sure those leaders are S's.

Hey man, I didn't mean to jump all down your throat in my earlier post...

Look, I understand you're a good driver...

However, at an S2000/NSX drive: It should be JUST THAT... S2000's and NSX's, ONLY.

Likewise, at an S2000 drive: S2000's only...

I'm not even down with people bringing Elise's.... I think everyone is aware of someone causing drama in one of those...

My reason: A group of S2000's driving together looks to the police like an organized event... of course driving responsibly is assumed.

Once you start throwing in a mini, a civic, a rented elise, a riced out 240, etc.... It looks like STREETRACING!!!

Argue all you want, but that's how it is.

Night CRUISES are fun. High speed night runs are better left to cartoons like Initial D.
