San Diego is just about my favorite layover. Beautiful and lots of stuff to drink... I mean to do.

 

I know that beach, thats the nudy beach, my moms side of the family is in Escondido and all over cali, gas lamp district is cool downtown san diego

 

There are a number of areas in San Diego that are "Cool" tourist and non-tourist

How about taking a cruise down Adams Avenue or to Mt. Soledad? Cabrillo National Monument or the Torrey Pines Glider Port? There is also Prospect in La Jolla, Carlsbad, Del Mar and much much more.
