Yes sir! I was very happy to find out it was just an axle. I've got a pair of axles coming in today from Miami (HUGE thanks to S.2.K; the axles are riding around Fort Myers in a big brown truck less than 20 hours after I sent the money ). Hopefully I'll have her back on the road tonight

I was pulling out of a parking lot. It had rained earlier that day and there was a puddle in a low spot right before the exit of the parking lot. I went through the puddle and thought, "Ohhhh, my tires are wet..." I got on it as I made a right onto the road. The back end stepped out a little bit, nothing too crazy. My guess is the tire grabbed and the sudden increase in traction was enough to snap the axle.

To put it in perspective, if a cop had seen it I doubt it was enough to get his attention, unless he was in a particularly bad mood. But if my mom was in the car, she certainly would have been yelling at me. It did surprise me that it was enough for something to break. I figure it was a combonation of 75,000 miles of wear and tear, a little extra power from the SC'r, some stupid driving and the perfect weather conditions that all came together at that very moment to break the axle.

Haha. Mama knows best right? Anyway, I got the new axle installed tonight, thank to FIdreaming for lending a hand. She's running just like it rolled off the assembly line. It's great to have my baby back. Yay!
