Default INSURANCE QUESTION

If I have aftermarket springs on my car to lower it and I'm involved in an accident, could my insurance company deny fixing my car??? I have allstate.

P.M. and I will give you my office number so you can call me. Did something happen on the way back from the meet? The short answer to your question is probably that your insurance company insures the fair market value of the car and its reasonable repair costs. I too have Allstate. If aftermarket springs are deemed not reasonable, then I think that you have got an issue with your insurer. But I can give you some hints in dealing with your insurer if you want. Like I said, P.M. me and I will give you my number.

You o.k., son?

Is this about that Spa that spun out last night? I have to deal with alot of insurance companys and I have never seen one that wouldnt pay because of aftermarket springs, although I have seen them not pay for aftermarket parts.

What aftermarket springs? your car is stock, isn't it??

I doubt they would care... Only it you had 'off-road' parts on it, making it illegal to drive on the road.

Fellas Fellas, I'm alright. I invited one of the Spa Yellows out the meet last night and when we were all leaving his s2k got a little loose on the u-turn. Thankfully hes alright but his s2k's rear wheel is barely on the car as the car jumped the curb. Truth of the matter is I feel really bad and almost everyone of us has been bitten by the car. One of the powers that be that arrived at the scene said it would be wise to switch back to stock. I really appreciated your concerns though.. Btw, there aint much to stop me from rockin the 'roundel next year.

Jay your gonna get the PM for some advice...hopefully you dont charge by the minute...

Thanks SinSin, watching the tow truck drag the car on and off the truck had to be the worst part. They made it worse. I felt like it was my car.
