The battery thing is really a non-issue. It will need replacing after around 400 charges. Most people dont charge theirs every day but if you do you will have over a year before it needs replacing. Every phone I have had needed a new battery after about a year, some less. I have had to pay about $50-$60 for replacement batteries. The iPhone battery replacement is $79 I believe and its a 3 day turn around time. I can live with that.
I'm sure the 2nd and 3rd revisions of the phone will be much nicer, and if it's like the ipod, should be available soon enough

played with one today with the head of our IT dept. Nice phone, great UI. Has some very useful features, but was a little big for me to carry all day. It's about the size of an ipod. I prefer smaller phones.
iphone mini?
