um no (<--- I thought I editied this earlier. I now know it is possible but why)

and ITBs are damn expensive for what you get out of them. I think new they go from 3-7K depending on who makes them and for what?? 15-45 HP!

I'm sure you could do itb + turbo. M3 and M5 have itbs and people have turbo them. Bikes have itbs, and there are turbo busas and turbo gsxr. The problem with aftermarket itb turbo is probably more the fact that when someone goes itb, they have the mentality of na, so high compression pistons and what not which are not turbo friendly.

For the money, FI will always be cheaper. However, you will never have the instaneous feel of itb. Throttle response is just unreal. The real question is do you have the funds, time, and patience to spend quite a bit of money and find someone who can tune an ems to get it to run properly. I would love to do it since I've done the turbo thing once, but it just wouldn't be practical imo unless I won the lottery or had some magic funds suddenly appear

is this the pacman video? I think he had the heyward or twm itb and "turbo pwr" aka dan in the ny group bought them off that car. Maybe you could do a search or pm him to get an exact answer. I have a picture of the engine bay, but I can't remember exactly which one it was

Nice, but way too expensive for the performance gains.

Yeah I realize that, but the sound is definitely unmatched. nothing beats the throaty sound of a side draft setup.

That's not really true; you can't compare ITBs to FI because they're trying to solve different problems. In my opinion, FI is trying to solve a problem that S2000s don't have.

I've been researching ITBs for the S2000 because I want better low-end torque. I don't care about dyno charts or 1/4mi times; I want to be able to exit corners faster on autocross courses. The advice I've gotten (and confirmed with what I've read so far) is that getting ITBs will help this more than going the FI route. A centrifugal supercharger would not help at all with what I want; even a roots or twin-screw will increase lag and throttle response time. So it's definitely the best deal for the gains that I want.

Now if you want to drag, you're right, FI will give you a better gain for your money. But if you want to drag, why did you buy an S2000?

Don't forget, FI includes turbos as well as SCs... a reasonably sized turbo will spool quite quickly and provide plenty of low-end torque. No need for further research than to take a ride in a local turbo'd car (although being in TX, you might have a longer drive than local folks). On the track, if your engine rpm falls low enough to unspool a turbo, you're not driving it right
