Default Its a sad day.......

Well, this weekend has left me with a ailing S2K that will not turn over. Lots of rain left me hitting a blind lake across the street in the neighborhood, and she got very wet. Engine will not turn over, not sure if she sucked in water. Seems like the cold air intake and bypass valve failed and could have done me in. We'll see how that goes after I take her for a look. Here's some info in the...Under the hood thread if you wanted to check it out.

I wish you were down here I could help you out with this, its a pretty easy thing to check around for. All the guys in the other thread have you on the right track, get someone to give you a jump (unless you have another car) and go from there. I hope your motor isn't toast.

Not yet, I went to bed last night. Thats for tonight. If the starter doesn't turn it without the spark plugs, I will bump roll it and see if it starts. So we'll see later today.

Check the original thread for details, but I took a trip in the S tonight, she ran smooth after a bit, not 100% but she is improving. But she started, and I can't believe I did it all myself.

whoa. That's big fear of mine living in FL with a CAI. I had to stop and drain mine on the way home from the dragon.

I saw your other post. I never have been worried about mine, never hit deep water. Sorry to hear your news too. But, I can also say I feel lucky after my experience, but I couldn't have done what I did without help from awesome folks that post on these boards.

My car continues to run fine. I might make a hood for it before next summer.

After about $450 bucks, my S runs smooth and no major overhaul was necessary. Replacing the Idle Air Control valve made her run just like I wanted, so this ends the sad day for me, and on to some top down driving. WOOT!!
