Default My dyno results

This is the before and after vafc I tune.

Mods:
Koyo Radiator
Mugen Thermostat
AEM V2 CAI
Hondata IMG
Megan Header
Megan Test Pipe
Megan Single 2.5" Exhaust
VAFC I

This is the before dyno from our dyno day and after tune dyno.

Before mods:
Koyo Radiator
Mugen Thermostat
Stock Air Box
Hondata IMG
Megan Header
Megan Test Pipe
Megan Single 2.5" Exhaust

The black line is the before.

The only difference between now and then is the CAI. I am not sure if a CAI loses 10 HP but something isn't right. I did make some great midrange gains but lost a little up top. What do you guys think?

Mase did not do a correction factor but said the weather conditions were nearly identical. I will do a comparison of the AEM V2 and the stock airbox the next time there is a dyno day. That is the only sure fire way to know if the CAI lost power. I just wish I had thought to bring my airbox. Ce la vie.

interesting. It shouldn't loose power, but it is one part of a system.

Something changed IMO, and it wasn't necessarily only the CAI.

How many pulls did he do during the tune? My readings peaked out and started to decline after 5-6 pulls no matter what he did, and we even had 2 fans on it! The OEM bumper has very little airflow through the filter area when the car is not moving.

Also, based on that initial pull on the later dyno, it looks like the ECU "learned". Look at how drastic the VTEC engagement is compared to the other one post-tune (you should have been running the same tune, right?). I also noticed that you have RPM on one scale and MPH on the other... I realize they are linear, but math SUCKS!

on a limb I would say a possible valve adjustment could improve things, remember when todd did yours in the parking lot at the pub at the end of the group drive......man that was a while ago!! Your power curve looks more linear with smooth VTEC engagement.

I don't think 2 months is going to change the valves that much. I don't daily drive my car.

He did about 7 pulls. The before pulls on both charts are without tune.
