Nitrogen
Crikey. Touch a raw spot did I? I wasn't criticising you.
You paid $40 (US dollars) for Nitrogen in your tires and they gave you a list of extra services as long as your arm. What do you think that says about the value of the Nitrogen refills? smile.gif
Yes I am a critic of Nitrogen refills having tried them myself. Waste of time IMO. As someone else rightly mentioned you have almost 80% nitrogen in your tyres already.
Do you have one of my window protectors? If so you'd know it wasn't made out of foam. wink.gif

They would lose a lot of money if their dry nitrogen didn't do what they advertise it did. Just think about how much money they would lose fixing or replacing tires every week. I think it speaks volumes of their product. I have experienced better fuel economy. From 25 mpg highway to 28 mpg highway.
They look like those pool noodles wrapped in fabric...
What exactly is it made of? Seems like info that would be on the website but I don't see it anywhere.
On topic...
How do they get all the air out before putting the nitrogen in??? Is there a machine that sucks it out...like a freon machine for A/C? Other wise there will be a mix of air and nitrogen in there.

The pool noodles you refer to are cheap foam that invariably bends and distorts (ever seen a straight pool noodle?).
The rubber will always retain it's shape thereby remaining straight.
Inner is solid rubber with a small channel through the middle. Outer is velour.

ax-they suck the old air out with a machine and put dry nitrogen back in to ensure that there is no mixing. I watched them do it to mine.
Ok...
Has anyone run nitrogen in their track tires? I thought I heard that NASCAR runs nitrogen in their tires.
During a track event, my Toyos will start at 32 and end at 38.5 psi.
What If I put in say... 37 psi Nitrogen in my track tires?
Word?
