Update, she died last night. i had done nothing but surf the web since i got it back up and running. i even bought a $200 epson printer/scanner to make sure i had no software conflicts.

now it won't even boot up nor will it boot from disk. it makes a clicking noise when i power up and then goes to a grey screen with a tiny folder in the middle with a flashing "?" and two tiny mac faces.

oh well, now off for warranty repair. i might sell this thing after i get it back from Apple. if anyone wants a sweet deal on a Imac G5, 2.1 power pc with 1gb ram, 250 hd, 20" widescreen, built in Isight, let me know. i might have to back to the world of windows.....

talking to Apple tech support currently. it is going through the hardware test. last night it started slowing up again so i tried to verify disk and it told me disk needed repair. i installed disk 1 and went to disk utilities and it locked up, saying it could not repair.

some of my memory of last night is blurred by the whiskey.....

Have you tried bringing it to an Apple Store? You can bring your computer in and they will diagnose it for free at the "Genius Bar". When my iBook was acting up thats what I did...it was a low stress evolution, let the "Genius" do all the work.

There are two Apple Stores in Orlando...one at the Florida Mall and one at Mellenia.

For God's sake man, get a hold of yourself! Back to Windows? You're delirious!
