Petition Thread

I thought some of you might be either bored enough or interested enough to want to check out our transit of the Panama Canal. The Canal Authority has a number of webcams along the route. We will be locking through "Miraflores" sometime Tuesday evening.

(I will post up the time in this thread once I get it on Monday) and then departing "Gatun" Waaayyy too early Wednesday morning. It'll be only slightly less boring than watching paint dry, but I know a lot of you personally, so I know some of you will watch

P.S. there are some cool time-lapse youtube and google videos on teh intrawebz of various ships transiting the locks if you feel the urge to look them up.

Getting underway at 6:30PM EDT we should be in view at the Miraflores locks around 7PM +/- 30 minutes

 

7:23 pm EST and nothing at the Miroflores locks.

Thanks for watching and for signing! We got delayed by a container ship, we were in the 1st lock at 7, but the webcam was aimed at the 3rd lock, so we didn't come into frame until after 8PM. I've now been up since 5AM yesterday, so my job is not ALL wine and roses .
