Default Polished hood

I've seen a few polished hoods on Miata forums, just wondering if anyone had seen it done on an S2000? Personally I think it looks better than a CF hood, and in most cases it's going to be lighter. Not sure if it's really my style, but definitely a unique look. A few Miatas:

I've had an silverstone hood sitting in my extra bedroom for the last couple years now. Got bored today, bought $15 worth of sandpaper and went to town. It's gonna be a looooooong project...

sounds dangerous ... i suggest telling the guy next time to not catch the heat and just let it fly over his head

get some aircraft stripper and you will have the paint off in no time. You can pick it up at Wal-Mart ... blue can.

Found a picture of the can. I used it on a set of Supra wheels and then on an intercooler to get paint off before having it anodized.

Thanks for the pic, I'll definitely try to pick up a can.

I'm not trying to make it unnecessarily difficult. I'd just prefer not to blow a bunch of money on the project, especially when I don't even have a car to put the hood on.

I think it gives the car that U-Pull and Pay look.

To each his or her own though.

The British Racing Green dumpster in the first pic is aesthetically pleasing to me though. So what do I know.
