Ran Moroso Tonight...
Lots of fun, but LOTS of cars!! 3hrs for 2 runs. I could only eek out a 14.660 and 14.548. The first run I was showroom stock, with 34psi in the rear tires. Launched at 6000. OK reaction time .693 and OK 60' time of 2.114. But I hit the rev limiter in 3rd and felt the forward lurch. But OK for my first time ever on a track.
2nd run I took off the air filter cover and dropped to 25psi in the rear tires. Also launched at 6000. Ruff start, lots of back wheel hop and a little bog. 60' time was 2.24 with slower reation time of .924.
I drove around the water in the stagging area, but did burn out a little. Anyway, it's WAY easier to do a burnout than on the street, just drop the clutch at 3500 and they spin fine. Was a great time. The new surface seems great, but maybe a tad slick, it rained at 4pm for about 20 minutes, so maybe some of the oils came up.
BTW, lost both times '89 Firebird Formula, stock with Automatic, 14.2. He redlighted (barely at .497), but I couldn't catch him. Then lost to a '98ish Mustang (not GT or Cobra), 13.7. No clue what he had.
BTW!!! You MUST have a helmet to race the S2000's at Moroso!! All Sub 14 cars and Ragtops Must have helmets. I was able to rent one for $15, but they only have a couple. Glad I was early.

kool story ! were in wpb are you ?
Thanks Keith. I was hoping for 14.2's, even 14.299. With better driving I think I can get it down there. I think it was about 68degrees, but humid with all the rain. I have a couple guys I know, one has a stock Mustang GT, ran 14.98 (Bad start) and a 14.55. And another guy with a RSX-R + CAI,Exh runs 14.2's. Was a good time.
