Chip, what day did you run The Dragon. I honestly wouldn't plan on having any fun driving it unless it was a Tues.-Thursday. If I go on a run with a group up there, I always make sure I add in a good weekday to the trip for less traffic.

Unless you go in the early spring or late fall, you'll have very few good runs during the weekend, though you may luck out from time to time during the peak seasons for a few good weekend runs. Otherwise, don't plan on it.

We were there at about 10am on a Wed morning. I knew better than to try it on a weekend. It just seemed that most of the riders wanted to go slow. It was a major disapointment. But the road we found around santeelah lake was awsome with no other cars around. Some campers at the lake must have wondered what was going on as the Invidia roared against the rock walls.

 

Wow, I've never had any bad runs on a Wednesday.

Invidia is The Bomb though. Take it through some tunnels. Still, the sound against the canyon walls is awesome.
