Do we need to disassemble the alternator and just give them the casing or do they take it apart? I would be worried if that process was done with the alternator inside.

I have done alot of polishing myself from motorcycle frames to intake manifolds. Doing an alternator is very easy and i would do it myself in a heartbeat. It's just time. Now something with alot of casting or hard area to get to like an intake manifold is another story. I just replaced my alternator a few weeks ago. The problem is it's hard to get to it to maintain the nice mirror finish. In a few months it will start to get dirty.

Mitch

Looky here

"You can just send the complete alternator and we will take care of the rest If you want the pulley polished as well let me know and I will shoot you over a quote on that as well.

The turnaround time is in my original quote, but it is currently at around 3-4 weeks right now. If you want it expedited to around half the time just add 25% to the price of the polishing service.

Let me know when you send the parts out and we will take care of the rest.

Thank You

Tony"

I'm still curious if they disassemble it or not.

Grant,

If I want to do this, do i send it to you or them so we can get the discount?

However if if has to be shipped to and from one place, then the discount will be shot due to shipping

Oh Yea Polished Block
Wouldn't that be sharp...

I haven't negotiated a deal yet but I'll try for shipping to them from multiple places with multiple payments but being inclusive on the 10 percent.

He's getting me a pulley quote now. Drop him a note and ask him if they take them apart. Maybe they have a way not to.but I doubt it.

his name is tony his email is sales@mirrorfinishpolishing.com.

I would be very interested but too many irons in the fire right now trying to make money in this crappy market. Gotta love having no salary and being self-employed

Grant - btw, you can PM me but I'm seriously thinking of running up to Dunedin the Saturday of the GP to see my daughter compete at the Highland Games. I do that and I will surely be in my kilt. I do that I might as well show up at the site later that day in full gear. Let's chat and see if we can do our Braveheart impression. Maybe Dario will be appreciate the effort as well.
