I have done alot of polishing myself from motorcycle frames to intake manifolds. Doing an alternator is very easy and i would do it myself in a heartbeat. It's just time. Now something with alot of casting or hard area to get to like an intake manifold is another story. I just replaced my alternator a few weeks ago. The problem is it's hard to get to it to maintain the nice mirror finish. In a few months it will start to get dirty.
Ron's right. Our alternators are too hard to get to when they need to be cleaned after getting polished. I powdercoated mine. You can always chrome it, way easier to clean and water won't etch it.

Since most of my engine bay is polished, well now if needs to be re-polished....
I'll be applying this stuff to all of it when I'm done.

I agree with Mitch.. and my car never gets dirty anyway.

By the way it's 2 pieces that get you the discount on both.

What else should I polish?

I've got an extra throttle body here. Maybe that. I think I need to find a polished pulley bolt too.

Anyone want to trade red hoses for black?
