The 3M film can be found on EBAy all day. Comes in smoke, blue, yellow, green, purple, red.

The film on the lights is legal enough, as long as it does not make the light coimg out of the light, Blue or Red in color.

You might say "rob, why then would/could put blue or red tint on the lights, wouldnt that be illegal" I would then say no. As long as the film is not dark or saturated enough to change the color of the light coming out. You can have a tint of any color on the lights and it would not be necessarily strong enough to change all of the light coming out of the bulb to that color. It may appear to be blue or purple or red when you are very far from it but then appear to be white when very close to it.

This effect is similar to HID's, like BMW's and Lexus in particular. When they are far away, the lights seem to be extremely blue/purple but then almost normal when they approach or pass by you.

If a cops thinks your lights are too blue or too red he will pull you over and ticket you. A lot of those guys converting to 9500 HID's or higher are finding this out. If the cops percieves red or blue light eminating from any location where it can be seen from the front of the car he is able to ticket you.

I hope that helps
