Clear Coat
How can you tell if you've rubbed too much off of clear coat? I had accidentally dropped a droplet of super glue on my paint and used Langka to get it out. The Langka did a decent job of leveling the glue so it's not noticeable, but there is still a little bit left. I am also worried that I may have rubbed too much since it took quite a bit of elbow grease. I noticed that the affected area is not as "rippled" as the surrounding paint ... it is much more smoooth. Is my paint ok?
BTW, my paint is GPW so I could not tell from the rag I used if paint was coming off since Langka is white.

usually when the clear is gone you can see a slight edge where the clear still is...
not likely that you rubbed it off.
if you see paint on the rag, then you are likely past the clear if you have orginal paint (red is an exception- they use some red tint in the clear i have been told)

what you probably got rid of is the "orange peel" im no expert but I believe on OEM paint orange peel is very common. I have heard of some people wet sanding portions of body panels to remove that ripply effect that you have described.

all you did was level the orange peel in the oem paint. Orange peel is a flaw and you just got rid of some of it

I fixed a flaw! ... well a part of the flaw
