Would anyone care to help me find a good recap post or two about last year or prior years? I just want to see what I can learn from it, what to expect, any tips, etc.

I'm debating on getting a cheap hotel in the area (girlfriend said that there were $50 hotels), but then... I don't really want to have to park my car in a seedy area.

I'd rather not spend a bunch of money on a hotel, but any thoughts from the locals?

Can't go wrong with the Embassy suites by the mall. (Westshore/Westgate) I can't remember exactly. Plus you'll be literally around teh block from the meet spot for the morning drive ins. Thats where the wife and I stay every year and it's top notch for the price. $110 a night with secure parking and a really nice place for the $. Trust me it's well worth it.
