Default Sunday's mods

It was a busy mod day at the captain's quarters. Two things got done

1) Installed K&N FIPK air induction system. Not sure I feel anything from the butt dynamometer, but the combination of the intake and the Invidia is a syphony of sound when you hit VTEC.

2) Hardwired in my Valentine One radar detector and laser ticket detector....no more hanging wires. The hardes part was hanging upside down under the dash, trying to find a ground. Due to my experience yesterday in bilge hanging, it wasnt too bad.

?????Question: My car was obviously modded before it was returned on lease. I found that the coolant line that runs from the block and the one that enters under the tthrottle body are both blocked off. The car also has the Hondata installed.
What is the purpose of blocking off those coolant lines? I heard that it make the manifold run much cooler than the Hondata alone. Any comments??

That coolant line is extraneous. With the HIMG, no coolant goes from the head to the TB, so there's no reason to have the line there. If the line is removed and the nipples are capped, please make sure the caps are secured with clamps, especially the one under the TB.

It would be interesting to find out who the car belonged to. I did a NFR HIMG in your neck of the woods years ago. I'm sure that there are others out there. That car belonged to John (njtripface). Anyone know if he still has his S?
