Suggesting

I've always wondered if we'd get more of a turn-out if the Super Meet was in conjuction with another well-supported event/facility. Something like the SPGP. Combining the meet with an event like that to increase the attraction and help folks justify the time off/drive time.

I guess we'll have to do a poll on that. But, for me, i'd much rather have it be a long weekend event which is incorporated with another public entertainment product. St. Pete Gran Prix, Rolex24 @ Daytona, the Florida State Fair, Universal City Walk, ect.
I thought your meet was great. i enjoyed this meet very much and would do it again. nice job rob and crew for the meet. we (me and 3 others) drove 9 hours to get to this meet. more venders would be cool, but for the most part, job well done! GREAT TIMES!
I would highly recommend that the group drives be divided prior to the event...allowing folks to pick and choose who they wanted to drive with...
Meeting new folks is always cool...so in that respect, the group leader should take the initiative to have everyone introduce themselves. Who are you? Where are you from? Etc... An opportunity to "bond" in the group. Luckily (and purely by luck), my group had 2 others from the Carolinas. Sadly, I never "bonded" with the other folks.
Of course, I had a mad head cold too...
The "after-drive" festivities were nice and allowed for some real relaxing...it would have been nice tohave a dinner spot planned even if that would have raised the cost of the event/registration fee.
The Florida Supermeet was fun and I really enjoyed it (and the other Carolina folks agreed)...but if I come again next year, I'll be looking for a more involved itinerary to justify the long trip.
Thanks again!!!
