check grounds first.

No spark could be ignitor ... very common issue and not cheap to replace unless you have spare altenators laying around. I think the D15z (VTEC-E motor from a VX) altenator/ignitor will work. Not 100% on that.

Fuel pump not working is strange. Just check your connections. Which engine harness are you using and which EG model do you have? If you spliced anything be sure you have a quality connection (solder if possible).

Any CEL/MIL?

Hope that helps ... oh, and take a look over at Honda-tech.com. Priceless.

ugh ... i'm having flashbacks ... giving me headache

i had this happen to one of my egs.. if the fuel pump doesnt prime (make a noise when u put the Key on the "ON" position) it is most likely the Main relay.. it is a grayish looking box under the steering wheel by the door.. it says mitsuba on the side of it.. i think.. i am almost 100% sure about that.. let me know if you need a pic.. i MIGHT have an extra one u can try.. ill sell it to u for 5.00 if i can find it in my garage junk yard

EDIT: just found a pic of one i sold on ebay!

if u know anyone who has a running eg.. u can try theirs.. if u figure out that it is ur main relay there is a way to fix it with a little soldering (look up honda-tech).. never actually tried it myself.. u can either purchase new or go to a local junkyard.. most of the time the junkyards leave them in the car..

I second RJ's advice, this sounds like a classic main engine relay issue, very very common......and very very easy to troubleshoot, I don't recommend trying to solder it. The issue with this relay is usually after it heats up (the relay). It's a cold solder issue from the manufacture and a well known problem. Just find a spare.

Do you know for a fact there is no fuel? You have checked the obvious? ie fuses, etc... If not loosen the banjo fitting on the fuel rail and turn the ignition to on and see if fuel is squirting out..... As far as spark....pull out a plug and put it back into the boot on the wires, set it on the block and have an assistant crank it, should arc to the block.... Make sure the pin out on the ecu/distributor is correct as well......feel free to pm me for a phone contact, I have personally performed dozens of swaps.
