Swapped Fuel pump but...
Ok my 2000 s2000 wont start. I suspected fuel since I check and the car was sparking. I could spray starter fluid into the throttle body and it would start up and sputter but then die. I proceeded to swap out the fuel pump but the car still just doesnt want to start. Im not sure what it could be. Any suggestions?
My god man! You replaced the pump without checking the wiring?
The PGM-FI relay and the immobiliser are both things I'd check before I did fuel pump. You really should have thrown a volt meter on the input wires to the pump. No 12V = no fuel pressure.
Before I replaced the pump, I'd try hot wiring it to see if the engine runs, then you know it's a wiring problem.
