Default Tach Wire Location

To start I have one of those "lets change everthing electrical S's" aka 2006 for those who don't know me... I have a new Modifry Redline indicator that is all hooked up minus the GDF tach wire. It (tach wire) is blue (I hear/read) and can be found in the passengers side dash next to the top (roof) controller (Modifry.) Yep there are plenty of BLUE wires with colored traces and one with no traces that has voltage on it at engine rest and when you turn off the ignition (not good.) If you know where this little monster is or even the service port under the hood I would appreciate it!

I had no problem installing mine using these instructions.. Shift Beeper

I recommend installing the speaker on the drivers side. You will need to extend the speaker wire to do that. You may even want to install a larger speaker as you will not hear it with a helmet on.

Good luck, you can look at mine if you still have probs.

Thanks man! I have the manual but the harnesses have changed (go imagine that!) The only solid blue wire I found doesn't act like a pulsed tach wire... I am going to attach the ecu tomorrow after work since it generates the pulse and the Modifry unit is already installed there w/speaker.

you probably have the light blue wire. There's a darker blue one (the tach wire) next to a brown one. It's the darker of the two wires that don't have stripes. You will find it.

For the next person...

Option 1

Option 2

use port 11

I am going with 2 since the module and speaker are already mounted in this area...

have you e-mailed Bob? (Modifry) He will most likely have some insight to the 06 model. He's a great guy and easy to deal with.
