Thank You Florida!
I want to take a moment to thank the Florida Community for their great hospitality during my previous vacation to the Daytona Beach area.
Saturday, July 28th I departed Virginia Beach, VA in route to Daytona Beach, FL. I stayed in the Plaza Resort and Spa on Atlantic Avenue. The hotel was great, amazing customer service and their restaurant, The Magnolia was incredible!
During our vacation we did hit a few sour spots though. On Wednesday evening Jane and I visited 'Chi-Ling', a Sushi Bar off US-1. Being a huge sushi fanatic, I know a decent bit and eat quite a lot. On this occasion I ordered the following rolls : Spicy White Tuna, Spicy Tuna, Spicy Salmon, Spicy Eel. Over-all, I was in for a great meal... or so I thought. After eating my raw fish, which was no cooler than room temperature I sat for roughly 20 minutes waiting on my waitress. She finally came, after I asked another waitress to get her. After paying our bill my stomach immediately felt terrible. We walked out the front door, straight passed my rental, and threw up on the other side of the parking lot. After returning - the manager not only didn't even apologize, however she time and time again told me that I was allergic to sushi.
I've yet to figure that out, since this past Sunday I went to my local sushi restaurant and ate well over 30 pieces of sashimi and 4 rolls. (I told you, I eat a lot)
That Wednesday Night I felt like things were just going terrible. After dinner I decided to suck it up and headed to City Walk to meet with Jim. Let me tell you, Jim single handily changed my opinion. Upon arriving to his club he greeted me showed me to the bar! I mean.. it doesn't get much better than that! Jim showed us several different clubs in the City Walk area, including the club layout and design!
To Jim, thank you so much. Your hospitality is very much appreciated! I know that you are currently on your way to New York. However, if you are ever in the Virginia Beach area please let me know!
On Thursday Jane & I had planned to wake up rather early and visit Universal Studios. After a few drinks at City Walk with Jim, I decided to pound back a few more in the hotel room. Next thing I know it was roughly 5am and I was just laying down. Jane & I woke up a bit later than expected, however planned to rush through the rides at Universal... leaving their rather early to make it to the dinner meet.
The Dragons apparently got the best of us - we didn't leave the park till almost 9:00 pm. To everyone who attended the meet, I am so sorry. There is nothing more than I wanted than an opportunity to meet you all.
Thursday evening I did have the opportunity to meet Scott (Bandiscoot). He met with Jane & I at the Daytona Beach Ale House for a quick bite to eat, prior to returning to the hotel. Scott went his way, as we did ours with intentions to meet back up. He showed us Razzles, a local club while entertaining us for an hour with some great stories!
To Scott - thank you! Jane & I both had a great time on Thursday evening. My offer extends to you as well - if you pass through Virginia, please let me know!
I also did notice something, both Jim & Scott are Captain Morgans drinkers!
That alone speaks of their great quality!!!
Thank you again gentlemen for your hospitality. As well, to all of the Florida Community for your generous offerings for advise while on vacation. Though it did rain a bit, we both had a great time.

I'm glad you two enjoyed your time here and sorry that I didn't get to meet you but no worries! It's totally understandable! lol
Oh, and sorry about the rain but I believe someone had an odd sense of humour when they nicknamed Florida the "Sunshine State" b/c it rains pretty much everyday at the same time. lol

Glad you had a good time. Orlando is a good place, you just have to hang out with the right people to make it a great place. Jim & Scott are the right people, well Jim is anyways
If you head back here anytime let us know.

Any time! I'm sorry that Razzles wasn't as busy as normal. It is typically quite the place and has been a staple for many years there.
It was great to meet and hang out with you and Jane. Please try to come back for another visit. Just check with the florida group about upcoming events and try to schedule around one. It will be well worth it. I'll also be sure to coordinate with Jim next time so that we can all meet at City Walk together on a Thursday night meet. Just be sure to arrange to stay in Orlando that night ... you'll be happy you did.
I'll try to find a reason (or make one up!
) to come to Virginia Beach soon! Here's to the Captain!

Oh .. and thanks to Jim i'm now a huge fan of Three Olives Grape Vodka and Red Bull!
