It's the season for traveling and vacations!!! This year my girlfriend and I are planning a couple get aways, however one in particular that I need some help with is Myrtle Beach.

I've been down to Myrtle Beach once before, however it was 7 years ago and I was with a large (20+) group of people with everything already planned out.

Is anyone here real familiar with the area?
We plan to make the trip down from Virginia Beach on Friday, July 10th and return home on Sunday, July 12th. The only real plans are to have fun, get wild, and drink lots lol.


Can anyone offer any recommendations on good hotels. We don't need the Waldorf Astoria.. but aren't looking for any Motel 6 either. We're figuring around $200/night for the hotel. One HUGE preference though is 24/7 Room Service. We tend to get hungry around 3am after a good night of drinking, lol.

As well, any possible bar/club recommendations? Looking for something fun and wild!

damn i been there couple years back....but i honestly cant remebmer jack! hahahaha

have fun for us!!! definately a nice place to visit..

however i do know not far is kinda like a park? and a place you can walk around to get taffy made in front of you and all kinds of stuff... kinda like a theme park outside of the beach...

 

I can see if i can get discounts for you at a local marriott but you just cant ruin the room or ill get fired/written up

 

If you could, I'd really appreciate it. Don't worry about the room though; it'll be a trip for my girlfriend and I... we're pretty respectful people towards our own and other peoples belongings/property.

Clubs? Broadway at the Beach - Club Revolutions in particular, but there are a TON of clubs and bars in that spot.

Oh yea, that drive is only about 5 hours from here to there (if you speed like I do) but since it's a vacation spot, if you leave on Sunday be prepared for crazy traffic...

 

Awesome; on both counts! I'll certainly keep Broadway at the Beach and Club Revolutions in mind when we visit!
Pretty much figured that we'll have traffic... just have to hope for the best.

Hey Chad I'm looking around through Marriott to see if I can get a discount but it looks like they are sold out for that weekend. Is anything special going on that weekend? events,shows etc.
