LOL I've got three of them collecting dust...

They go on sale from time to time at TireRack. I purchased mine when they were cheaper than the RE01-Rs. Happy hunting...

let's hear some more tire talk.

DAMN! - That is ONE BIG FENCE...

Good luck on the research; I am leaning on the RE-01R's (Bridgestone fan) but I have also looked into the Michelin Pilot Sport 2s.

After racing against both Willie Gee and Speedy, I'm dumping my Coopers (finally) and going to try out the Kuhmo MX's next (Speedy's tires).

I am currently trying to decide on a set of tires as well. Pretty much same usage, daily plus auto-x capabilities. In my thread in the tire section people were saying I didn't have to worry about getting a 245/45r16 rear if I bought a decent tire, what are your guy's opinions on this?

I ran 225's in the rear in Fuzion ZR1, Falken ST-115, and Cooper 2XS flavors, and none of them held a candle to the 245 Cooper 2XS's I have out back now. A 245 tire really helped tame the rear on my car. I'd imagine if you had a sticky enough 225, it'd do the same, but not as much as a sticky 245

i' ve got the re01'rs just last month, hands down the best tires i have ever driven on. They are very compliant as a DD tire, very quiet and not as stiff on bumpy roads. I would say you should get about 10-15k miles out of them in the rear same as the s02s or in my case the falken grb451s which only lasted me 12k miles. If you are considering these tires I fully recommend them.
