Top Gear
with zdave. The San Diego residents are thanking God and the powers that be that Nagin is not their mayor. I don't think they would do well as a chocolate city. They're more an avocado city.

Mythbusters are pretty funny but the Top Gear guys take it a step further sometimes.
There was one test where they had to replace a door on a van, Clarkson just used James May's van to rip the door off of his van rather than try to use tools to take the door off.

I hope everyone gets the BBC because this last week's episode of Top Gear has to be one of the best hours of t.v. I have ever seen.
You will laugh and the antics of Jeremy and the boys as the travel from Miami to New Orleans each of them driving cars which cost no more than $1,000.00.
Besides being typically British in their sacastic humor, the episode ends with some particularly insightful observations of how Europeans view Americans, particularly as it relates to post-Katrina New Orleans.
I thought it was so good I have resisted the temptation to erase it from my digital recorder.

I liked the show but hate that it propogates the American stereotype abroad. Everyone already lothes us enough without this kind of crap reinforcing it.
Like south Miami and lower Alabama are really representative of the US anyway?

Think of Higgins, the butler in the Magnum P.I. show--the typical pompous, arrogant Brit.
Stereotypes are just part of life.
