i guess i missed a lot?

umm top gear = best tv show ever invented. if u haven't seen the 2 different episodes of them playing soccer with cars they u suck at life. it also kills mythbusters cuz top gear has prettymuch an endless budget and ive seen some car related ones that mythbusters couldnt afford to do right and then busted the myth and then top gear do the test to the T and come up the oppsite from them.

like the myth with the taxi being blown off a runway... mythbusters used a small jet engine and wasnt allowed to do this and that and all they could do was rip the bumper off... top gear uaed the taxi in the myth and a huge jumbo jet and sent that car flying! and then tried it with a few more modern and more aerodynamic cars and sent them flying aswell.

as far as anything else.... my comments were about how NO is right now and what has not been done and is still not being done. i had a little bit of a venting moment there cuz of my strong feelings on NO, which apparently lots of people have. i wont take anything back that i said cuz i believe its true, im sorry if ur one of the 25% that still supports the terrorist and if i offended u.

and anyone trying to compare san dieago to NO or even the job their mayors have to do is not very smart, and im just gonna leave it at that.

I usually don't get involved with these type of converstations unless I'm talking with people I know and respect and I like being able to be open-minded and learn from someone elses point of view. That being said:

Mississippi was devastated by katrina too but you don't see them bitching about the govt. I agree that more should be done but there were a lot more poeple whose lives were ruined by that storm than the people in NO. Too many people want to blame the govt for their problems and short comings. The LIBERAL Mayor was too affraid to mandate a evacuation becuase the city might lose money due to hotels being closed. EVERYONE has an agenda not just the
conservative "hating" government.

Sorry if this offends anyone. I am trying to be as unbiased as I can and still make my point. If you don't agree please don't take offense as I probably don't agree with you.

Whoa... whoa... whoa, man.

What exactly needs to be done that isn't being done? There is A LOT of work going on.

You do realize that alot of New Orleans was completely destroyed, right?

Do you realize that alot of what was destroyed was very poorly constructed? Do you also know that the city is below sea level? Do you realize that it would be stupid to just rebuild it like it was?

Read this article: http://www.slate.com/id/2125810/

[I]New Orleans puts the "D" into dysfunctional. Only a sadist would insist on resurrecting this concentration of poverty, crime, and deplorable schools. Yet that's what New Orleans' cheerleaders

The comparison is that SD has an effective, proactive Mayor and local/county/state government, while NO had a completely ineffective, reactive Mayor and local/county/state goverment.

Not only that, the SD fires literally sprung up in a matter of hours (less time to act), whereas Katrina was tracked for days before it hit NO (giving Nagin et al more time to act (or rather, not act in Nagin's case) ).

Search for:

the soccer (football) match

the RV vacation (one of the funniest IMHO)

the build vs. race car (where Stig races from London to Scotland while the boys try to build a race car in the same amount of time)

the convertible conversion (where they cut the top off a minivan)

All classics.

LOL @ the part where Hammond proclaims he's supporting the collapsing convertible top with his head.
