Well, I don't think the viewpoint is one necessarily shared by the average bloke on the street in Britian.
What's more, and I don't want to turn this into a political discussion, one has to distinguish between a perception that Europeans have regarding our government and the American population as a whole. I suspect that Europeans probably are relatively tolerant of Americans per se but don't really care for our government's policies. Viewed from their side of the pond, Europeans likely feel that we have many negative stereotypes of them...think of Donald Rumsfeld's statement about "Old Europe" which could come across as arrogant.

Oh it's back! Season 12 began today with the boys competing in a lorry challenge and Jeremy "murdered out" his, haha. For those of you that don't use bittorrent, try finalgear.com for http downloads of the first episode. Next week will see the boys reviewing the ZR1, CTS-V, and the Challenger.
While we're on topic... what is up with that new host on Fifth Gear? What kinda pants does that dude wear? It's like... the same pair every episode. The weird elastic pant legs. What in the hell
Tim Shaw can be a little quirky but he does a much better job than Tim Lovejoy did. After doing some reading on wikipedia I like him even more. According to wikipedia:
