Default Touchless car wash

Alright, I always wash my S by hand, but I was in a Hess touchless car wash in my wife's Element the other day trying to weigh the "avoid automatic car washes" statement in the owner's manual against my engineering sense (i.e. the convertible top and gaskets are designed to witstand rain at 100mph). it sure would be nice to run the thing through a touchless wash once in awhile. Anyone doing it? Fess up...

Bill

I've ran it through a touchless car wash. I see nothing wrong with it once in a while

I don't see a problem with it at all.

You have to ask yourself this... were those gaskets designed to handle 100mph rain at an oblique angle or direct shot from a water nozzle aimed right at the gasket? There's probably little hamr done once in a blue moon, but you shoudl always ask the RIGHT questions
