Default help with wash

Hello everyone. I am new to this site and actually just got a used S2K. And had a question about a wash. Do you think it will be okay for me to take the car in a car wash. And most of the wash have a pressured washing system. So do you think is it a good idea or not? Or shall i just wash it by hand. Any good advise. Thank you.

wash it by hand. i dont like the idea of anything they use, like high pressure, those roller-shag thingies, or anything that might cause scratches or send water thru the window seals.

thats just my $.02

If you don't want water all over your interior i'd suggest a hand wash.

hand wash hand wash hand wash. never take it to a drive thru car wash either. those "soft" Spinning fabric scratches your car, and pressure wash doesnt really clean the car either from dirt and the brushes scratches too! Besides...its your car and you should enjoying washing it. I love washing my car. I can wash it every other day if i wanted to. (it's just every 3 days.)

never ever take it to ANY drive through type car wash. In fact, never take ANY car through them if u value ur paint at all. Rub ur towels all over the dirt in your yard and then rub it on your paint, what happens? Now imagine the car washes using those scrubbers on cars that are covered in filth and then goes and washes ur car ... same thing huh?

what they said!!
and my recollection is that the owners manual even says this- cause of damage to the top seals.
also avoiding the swirls that they guarantee is not a bad idea...

I have never had anyone wash any of my cars but me. Well, once my employees washed my Mercedes 'cause they thought it needed it and they were so proud. I was not happy - just smiled.
