Looks great but she needs an Automatic.

I would prefer she learn how to drive a manual shift as I think it makes you a better driver, better control over the car and you have to pay more attention to driving. An aotomatic lets your mind wander and focus on other things. (IMO).

Maybe soon but for now I need an Automatic.

Thanks, B.

I have a 16 year old step daughter. She wants an automatic. I have a Caviler (manual) that she does not want to drive.
She loves driving the Ridgeline though. But due to some circumstances, she will not drive the Ridgeline anymore. (its ok)

So I am not popular around the house right now. She can drive the cav fine. Even better when I learned to drive a stick at 15.

I wish you luck on your search.

Red1: This isn't a news-flash but I'd stay with a Honda product.

Wow! Those things are getting $12k-$18k!!! My friend has an '82 FJ40. Everything is original except for the paint and the radio (even has a hard top). He had to paint it and 'clean' it ... but, still only paid $5k for it ... maybe i should make him an offer!?
An FJ40 can get in the 20s...that is 20K restored

...........Although the insurance part has my attention.

Case in point: Liability only, no points or claims, 100/300 policy, no collision-no comprehensive. 16 year old male driver with Driver's education. Florida Farm Bureau Insurance Company.

1999 Toyota Tacoma, 1990 Isuzu P/U or 2000 Ford Ranger = $865 for 6 months

1999 Honda Civic, 4 door, 5 speed, 4 cylinder = $2100 for 6 months

1994 VW Jetta, 4 door, 5 speed = $2100 for 6 months

2001 Mustang GT, automatic = $1680 for 6 months

Anymore, it's not the car that I can afford, it's the insurance. I make the boys pay for their insurance (using the Bank of Dad....).

Wow, thanks for the research. A couple of these look very promising.

I have never owned a Desiel vehicle, obviously they get better mileage and desiel engines last longer than gasoline fired engines what about the typical noise from a desiel motor, is that present with this car?

Also pros & cons on the turbo? Is it reliable? Is it costly to repair?

Thanks, Barry
