Willie G my wife and I met you here in Lake Mary at Amura for sushi. We were quite taken by your little girl that evening, as she was so good while we eat and at your home party there in New Symrna. We are sad that you will no longer be CO here in Central Florida.

I am sure that many of us here on the boards will miss you and we are hopeful that you find it possible to attend functions from time to time to keep in touch with what is going on for you and the family. Wish you and your family the best.

Don't worry ... i'll still be having parties at the Gee residence for everyone here!

Besides ... getting to my little lakeside retreat is nearly impossible for an S2000. Willie Gee's pad has paved roads leading to it ... and bars within walking distance

Thanks for the note!

Yeah, it saddens me to step down. But let the record show, I simply haven't been that active as of late. And the kiddos and their excellence have alot to do with it. They are amazing. My daughter Thea is reading herself to sleep every night. And Eli is taking corners too fast. It's a blast at these ages, and I am taking every moment in...

Humble people never "step down....they step aside" in the minds of those whom they served. Your title is not what makes you elevated, it's how your peers percieve you that does.

"Sir Bill" suits me just fine ...................

Just saw the first post an didn't read much else but WG thanks for your years of leadership on the boards. I can still remember meeting you for the first time after you got the S at what I believe was Chin's last Florida Super Meet in I think 2004 perhaps. Many roads have been traveled and your "running" of the Dragon still hangs proud on our wall of shame at the house. In fact, my brother-in-law was just up and had to point you out as his favorite picture....AGAIN.

If Scooter is up for the job I vote him hands down with no hesitation. Long upstanding S-owner, active, well spoken, and can party with the best of them.

OK kids....saturday morning andno other nominations and more than enough seconds and thirds to count as confidence votes.

I am submitting to the site mods that Scott (Bandiscoot) be promoted to CO.

I am also going to suggest that a Gainesville/Ocala area forum be started since the region is active enough and yet far enough away from all the established areas to warrant its own place to call home.

Congrats Scooter!!! Do us proud in Marion/Alachua!!!

Wow ... thanks everyone.

Primo ... don't know how complicated it would be to setup another 'region' ... but, I'm fine with just promoting the local meets in the main Florida forum ... unless that conflicts with the rest of the sub-regions But, do what you think best on that part

I'm going straight to the dentist on Monday!
