I am being have been extremely patient with this whole situation, now I understandably aggravated.
All I ask is that you show me enough decency to respond to this post on what you plan to do.

I dealt with him once. It was to swap bumpers + 40 cash to me. He said he would mail me a check next day. Took a month and several PM's/emails to get him to send it

Okay first of all Dark, I kept in constant contact with you and you received your cash. I even made a post in your Xbox F/S thread (which didn't seem to go very smoothly if you don't remember) about giving you my extra power cord, since yours did not have one. Needless to say, we both know that issues arise which affect how long sales take to complete.

Secondly, I spoke to RoB via a PM and will repost what I said directly from the PM. James, if you have any problem with me after I post this, you can PM me directly or call me, SINCE you have my number AND my handle, instead of trying to call me out on a public forum.

Let me explain to you what this is about, since it has nothing to do with any shady dealings by myself.

About a year ago this guy made a post about swapping seats; my black ones for his Sparco's w/rails and such. Said that everything was made by Sparco and would directly swap in. Said that I would swap and for him to get a hold of me. Finally he got around to setting up some time to do this, took about 6 months.

I told him I would meet him at his house in Orlando to swap on my way up to Gainesville. I got to his house and the mess that his car was in w/these seats was abominable.

There were NO custom rails what-so-ever, but rather pieces of scrap metal bolted onto bolts that were "welded" (using that term very uselessly) to the floor. These "welds" were such garbage that the car had rusted holes through his damn floorboard. Meanwhile, I had already pulled my seats out of my car before starting to work on his (since he was not helping at all since he had ZERO car experience and bought the car modded).

Both seats were like this and I had to literally rip them out of the car since the bolts and shit were all rusted. I then had to "ghetto rig" the drivers seat to my car with one bolt since I had to get back to Gainesville. I then was forced to order real Sparco mounts for $150 a piece for these damn seats.

Meanwhile, after doing ALL this work, and telling him where to get his car fixed since it had massive holes in the floorboards, he tells me that he needs to have my stock seatbelts since he can't use his harnesses. Basically he wanted me to rip apart my car (which we both know is damn near impossible at night, nevermind having to take out seatbelts!) and give him the seatbelts. I told him I would think about that and installed a harness on his drivers seat so that he could at least drive the car to work and such. By this time, I had already spent about 4 hours, from 5pm to 9pm doing all this work by myself and went back to Gainesville.

He has never even attempted to call me regarding this matter and the deal happened about 3 months ago. Honestly, I do not know what to do about this and don't want my name tarnished on this board. I have done business with plenty of people here and have a good reputation. This whole situation is just crap to me, seeing that I did a crap load of work that was unnecessary.

Please get back to me Rob and let me know what I could/should do. Thanks.

Chad
EDIT: Here is the link to the F/T post in the forum, which has ZERO mention of stock seatbelts. Seat Trade Link

The description in AJDADDI's post was Vaque - no mention of condition of rails or manufacturer.

"I would like a pair of black oem seats for s2k. I am willing to trade my sparco speed seats plus harnesses and all additional needed for installation. If anyone is interested let me know. "

James, Contact Xistence and see if you can get this resolved -

Thumbs down

Your going to be a great lawyer, thats all I can say. First of all I purchased the car in august so I have no clue what your talking about when you said I posted a year ago. I originally spoke with you in october, on another forum regarding swapping the seats. I then was very busy with work and you were busy aswell with school. We then lost touch. I joined s2ki and put up a post(11/7/05) as I was ready to get new seats. The reason it took so long is because we didnt know how to swap them and we needed someones help(which I also have pm's on). Its hilarious that Your complaining about doing the work when your the one who finally called me over and over so you could come that day to swap them!!!!!! I had several people that pm me aswell as posted as you can see that I could have traded with for everything plus a couple of hundred dollars. I was nice enough to let you have them for no extra cash (just a swap of seats, belts and whatever else had to do with installing the seats) because we had spoken before. I love how you say you went to buy new sparco mounts but funny enough you immediatley traded the seats for oem's on this forum.
I cant believe!!! That you said you would think about swapping seatbelts!!! You didnt swap them because it was dark outside and you had to get back to gainsville!!!!! I just want to see you do the right thing. I would have never traded for oem seats without belts, when you are getting the deal by not having to buy sparco racing seats(harnesses) or anything to do with installation.
This is the bottom line: You made a deal, you have to stick to that deal. If you saw any problem with the seats, harnesses, etc. You could have turned to me and said James I dont wanna make this deal, But you didnt you insisted on taking the seats with everything, and leaving me with no seatbelts because it was late and you had to drive back to gainsville. You rigged it to get me through the weekend and said you would be back on monday. Even my Fiancee was there to here you( after she made you dinner to take back with you and you said you would bring the tupperware back on monday when you brought the seatbelts). I have called you so many times in the first few of weeks after you didnt come that monday, as well as text messeged you with no response. This was my final resort. I hope your honest and do the right thing. I have a family and just started my own business so I cant obviously check these forums constantly thats why It has been a while since trying to do something about this. I also pm'd you on this forum with no response (and I have all pm's if you guys want to check my account). Just be honest you know that you were supposed to bring the seatbelts back on monday and you didnt. Now I have a beautiful car sitting in the garage because you thought I would never get intouch with you again. I want it settled here in front of everyone, because I know you will not respond to me unless we speak on this large forum.

Between the two stories I can gather only this:

Either AJ's seats should have been refused if they were not liked by Chad to begin with OR Chad should make good on the belts.

Option A: Chad makes good on the belts

Option B: swap everything back and call it a day (if chad did not trade off he seats or something similar)

If the seats are gone then I feel Chad should make good on the belts. We are never going to come to the complete story here because both people are saying the other never kept contact.

This is only my opinion, as a solid EBAY trader I tend to make good on stuff I dont feel is my fault or my concern from time to time just to keep my trader rating up. Somebody needs to be the bigger man in this situation. I will let the two involved decide who that is going to be.

keep posting responses but try to keep the drama out of it. If you guys break down to name calling and bashing, nothing will get accomplished
