It was brought up in his "original" Honda-tech thread a loooong time ago. We went back and forth about it, since I kept telling that it was a massive pain the ass to remove the seatbelts (cracking up roll hoop covers, etc.).

Then we didn't speak for a while and I saw that post on here that I quoted that didn't mention the seatbelts. When I went to do the swap, it was brought up at the end of the whole swap, after spending forever to do it and I absentmindedly was like, "yeah whatever."

I didn't realize that I'd be spending ~$300+ on rails and shipping until AFTER I'd returned back to Gainesville. The seats were falsely advertised, nevermind the fact that stock belts would be impossible to install in the car since the entire interior is custom fiberglassed panels that can't be removed.

All and all, I stand by what I said. If I'm reimbursed for the money and time that I spent with all that crap, than I'll give him the seatbelts. His car is completely drivable, if he fixed the rusted out floorboards and such.

Nick, if banning a 2 year paying member is what has to happen, then so be it, but I'm standing firm.

Well it's possible that he/she thought they were great becuase xistence included the rails/mounts that you didn't? I don't recall ever seeing xistence post that the seats themselves were bad, just the lack of the rails.

Who are you his brother? Thats not the point. The point is he made a deal and took the seats with everything I had. They were bolted down in my car. He obviously new he would have to do the same or buy rails. He took them anyway, now he is not making good on his deal.

 

Thanks for the back up Dave. He enjoys them because EVERYTHING was included, so it was a simple 5 minute process to swap them.

The rails that these seats were originally on were just bent pieces of metal bolted to "custom" rusted out bolts on the floor, which in turn rusted out his entire floorboard. The rails that I had were official Sparco rails that are made directly for the AP.

 

Even though the seats were in bad condition, I.E. rigged rails, you took them correct? You did not refuse the seats on thier bad condition, correct?

Did you take the harnesses, with the seats?

Did you promise AJ a set of seatbelts?
