Default Anyone had TSB work done here?

I love my S2000. Its so fast and corners so well, but there are 2 MAJOR defects in the car:
1. CLUTCH BUZZ!
2. The top makes a lot of noise at the striker points on the windshield.
From what the previous owner said, practcaly none of the TSB work has been done, and I think he's right because there are at least 2 other TSB issue's on the car that I know of so far.

SO what are my chances of any local Honda dealers taking care of me at no cost? It is an 00, 34,000 miles, out of waranty

You can probably fix this by installing new hard top strikers. We have done this on a couple of cars and it has fix the problem. It is more of a wear and tear issue. Only takes about 10 minutes to install.

Just ordered the strikers and 3 oil filters from hardtopguy. I am buying up all the maintence items I will need to work on the car. Do you think its worth it to buy one of those $50 pumps to bleed the brakes/diff/tranny myself?

I think I'll skip the Honda oil filter wrench and get a cheepo one at Napa. Any recomendations on gear oil for the tranny and diff?

Chances are not good. Your warrenty is expired so there will be out of pocket expenses.

Got the strickers

There are over 27 TSB you your model year. Check Here!

Some of them we can easily fix, other can not. Look these over and let us know which ones apply. We may be able to take care of them for you during the next install day.

You may be able to plead your case on some of these with American Honda. It's a long process, but I've had it work for a couple of recent members.

Wow. I knew there where alot, but 27? Well I checked them out and I noticed:

1.Puting the top down, the drivers window goes down a little and the Passenger goes down all the way.
2. Drivers auto-down window does not work at all.
3. Upper center console panel is moving up at the back.
4. Not sure but I think i'm hearing a pop from the rear end.
5. Grinded 1st-2nd for the first time today. I don't think it was all the cars fault but we'll see.
6. Of course the clutch buzz and striker rattle.

Thats pretty much it for now. I am debating what weight oil to use and which type of tranny diff oil too. The sticky was informative - thanks. I now have all of the essential tools for performing maintenance as well.

Wow... I feel pretty fortunate that my car didn't come with a bunch of issues. I do have the buzzing clutch noise though... no worries... I'll change the clutch/flywheel out when the time comes

1st to 2nd is more touchy than the others, but there is no reason you shouldn't be able to get it in just fine.

So it wasn't the cars fault, but it is different than the other shifts.

This just started happening to me, too.

Is that related to the clutch buzz sound?

Yeah, it was my fault . Every once in a blue moon I grind a gear, maybe 3 times a year. I am adapting though. It is such a nice transmission with precise, effortless gear changes. I love how light the clutch is too. My VR4 had a beartrap of a clutch. This thing is as light as a civic's.
