Default BYEBYE rear

After dropping my gf off at work this morning I smelled something coming from what I THOUGHT was someone elses car. I went home relaxed before work thinking nothing of it. Well, on my way to work I begin to smell it again within a few miles. As soon as I got on the highway (normal onramp speeds NO VTEC) I heard some awful noises and vibrations. I pulled over hearing some awful form of grinding by the time I got onto the shoulder. Thinking I blew a tire I got out of the car, looked around discovering I still had all four tires. I looked under the car and noticed it looked pretty wet under there. I thought maybe my oilpan was leaking and spraying back. I checked up front and looked at the oil. All normal. I jacked up the rear end a little, noticed it was starting at the "pumpkin". Its as if every thread Ive read on here came spiraling into my head. Rear diff $$$$$$$$. My only problem is, I have never once launched my car. The hardest I've drivin my car is this past weekend with all of you. Even then, I discovered after talking to a few people, I was not driving my car as hard as some. I was in a gear higher that most going into those turns. My only thought is maybe some seal went bad and leaked the fluid out. Me driving around today losing fluid and not noticing lead to the inevitable. I have an aftermarket warranty, but we all know how shady they are. Fine print is if any sludge is found its voided, and if you race. I certainly do not race, and just enjoy the car. However for those of you who met me this weekend know how my car looks, its not one of the more factory "clean" looking cars by any means. However that is only body work. Any performance mods on my car were already on my car when I purchased the warranty from the used dealer. I just have a feeling they are going to give me a run for it, since im a young kid. This is going to cost me some$$$$$$$$$$$$.

PS Just to say what kind of day im having, I had forgot my wallet as well. No money to pay tow truck driver, luckily he billed me. I borrowed my friends civic later in the evening to go get my wallet to get a rental, and his rear tire blew on my way back to take his car to him. Not to mention, my clutch went out on my truck a week and a half ago.

Sorry for the rant.... Just had to vent i guess

Sucks to hear this. I've seen a few used diffs for sale lately for some good prices but shipping wasn't added in. Good luck with your warranty and repair!
